Unified Messaging
Imagine getting your voicemail on the road without calling your office. Unified messaging can send your voicemail to your e-mail as an attachment. This
means you could send it to your office e-mail account or even a cell phone! Now imagine receiving faxes at your own private number, safe and secure. With the
unified messaging you can receive faxes through a seperate number that is answered by the voicemail. The voicemail then sends it to your e-mail account as an
attachment. You can also send faxes from your desktop through the voicemail.

Voice over Internet Protocal
What is Voice over Internet Protocal (VoIP)? VoIP gives you the ability to work from a remote location as a normal extension off the phone system it uses an
internet connection to send voice back and forth from your laptop or hard phone to the PBX. Let's say you travel for work and your cell phone bill is outrageous or
you can't give the number to clients. You would plug your laptop into your hotel high speed connection and initiate a VPN (Virtual Private Network) back to your
office. This now puts you on the local network. You can then start the Aspire soft phone application and become an extension off the PBX. The Aspire soft phone
program looks just like the phone back at your desk with keys and lights. You can now type a simple code and swap with the extension on your desk. Now all calls
that are transferred to your extension or people who call your direct number ring on your laptop without knowing any different. You even have one button access to
intercom a co-worker or check your voicemail!

Accessories
Does your neck hurt at the end of the day from holding the handset? Do you wish you could roam the office to retrieve files and still be on the phone? Headsets
are the answer. With the newest technology you can have a small earpiece in your ear with a single button to answer and hangup your phone. This will help
maximize your time by allowing multitasking. You can also avoid neck and shoulder strain! Take a look at the wide variety of wired and wireless headsets here.

APR Adapters
While headsets are great you may need more functionality then answering and hanging up your phone. This is where APR adapters are handy. An APR adapter is a
single module that plugs into the bottom of your Aspire phone that provides analog dial tone. With the Aspire system that analog dial tone can be the exact same
extension as your digital keyset. When you plug in a cordless phone you can have all the options of your digital set by dialing codes. People can ring your
digital extension number and reach you on the cordless. Now you can walk away from your desk but still maintain your productivity.

Computer Telephone Integration (CTI)
Let's say you have a call center doing massive outbound calling all day. You usually have a central database with customer numbers. Having your agents dial the
numbers manually is inefficent. The phone system has the ability to dial automatically out of programs that are TAPI compliant. With TAPI 2 on the Aspire you can
install the server software on any domain controller and assign extension numbers to domain users. Windows 2000 and XP have built in TAPI 2 if you enable this
you can connect to the TAPI 2 server and control your own extension right from the computer. No more dialing wrong numbers and some databases can have an automatic
pop-up for journal entry.
