Outside Sales Representative

marketing, installation and servicing of business telephone systems, voice processing systems and related telecommunications products. These telephone systems may
range from 10 to 1,000 phones and may include such advanced technology as IP, wireless and unified messaging.

Scope of Position:
Outside Sales Account Executives will offer a single source solution for business communications, including telephone systems, data services, local dial tone, long
distance service and voice/fax messaging. Responsible for acquiring new customers and business opportunities. Evaluates the market, develops leads, contact prospects,
makes appointments and determines needs. Audits the prospects system, considers alternatives, prepares professional proposals, makes winning presentations and closes
sales. Strives to expand the contact database and his/her technical knowledge.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Develops contact list and bona-fide sales leads by researching business activity and participating in community-based networking groups.
· Contacts cold and warm prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in person contacts to obtain appointments.
· Designs a tailored, cost-effective telecommunications solution. Prepares and presents the solution in a professional manner using the available resources.
· Closes sales, gathers all detailed information, develops a sales plan for the account, forwards the sales package onto Customer Care and maintains customer contact
as needed.
· Maintains technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
· Maintains personal accounts in computer including contact database, activity reporting and outcome reporting.
· Participates in industry events and activities to maintain relations with contacts and lead sources.
· Contributes to sales meetings and training as directed and other duties as required by Sales Manager/Director.
Qualifications:
· Demonstrated ability to perform sales functions from planning to cold calling to closing a sale and follow-up.
· At least 2 yrs. experience selling business telephone systems and/or network services or equivalent experience selling business services.
· Must maintain a sense of urgency and be able to make decisions in a rapidly changing and uncertain environment.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Office telecommunications and Internet.
· Organized, efficient and time-conscious.
· Must have excellent presentation and verbal communication skills..
· Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle.
